Boricua Collection "A Proud Sense of Identity" To the natives of Puerto Rico, the word "Boricua" is a self-created identifier. The word speaks to the rich history of true islanders and carries with it a sense of pride and ethnic solidarity. The Boricua Clothing Line captures the essence of "Boricua" by providing stylish sportswear that meets the needs of both the Latino and Urban consumer. For Latinos, BCL offers a wide array of native-themed clothing, to be worn as a proud symbol of one's country of origin.    For the Urbanites, BCL provides a clean and colorful alternative to traditional street apparel. For the first time, these two identities have been fused to establish the foundation of Boricua Clothing - an innovative urban sportswear collection we can truly call our own. After realizing the need for urban sportswear with a Latin feel, the Boricua Clothing Line was created by Jose M. Cartagena, a "Boricua" himself. Beginning with a handful of T-Shirt designs, Jose fielded interest in his idea among friends and family. The interest quickly grew to reach both local and out-of-state markets, including Puerto Rico.    In response, Jose developed his T-Shirt designs into sweatshirts, sweat-suits, and other apparel. BCL also expanded to include ladies and children's wear, all with the same Latin/Urban flavor. The Boricua Clothing Line now boasts over 15 designs, created using the latest in computer imagery and technology. As the Boricua Clothing Line continues to grow, so does the entrenched message borrowed from its "Boricua" namesake: "No matter where you're from or what you do, always take pride in your identity."
